Sargents Pies donate $50,000Wednesday, 8th July 2009 
Oncology Dad Bakes Support at Sargents
Manufacturers of some of Australia's best loved pies, Sargents has just announced the company will be donating $50,000 to Cure Our Kids through their charitable foundation. The generous donation comes after oncology dad, Karl Fretwell, took on a new position at the company as the National Sales and Marketing Manager.
Karl's daughter, Brooke, was diagnosed with cancer in August 2001. Cure Our Kids supported Brook and the Fretwell family during the treatment process, so when Karl took on his new role he saw it as an opportunity to help us in return.
The very generous grant from Sargents Charitable Foundation will enable Cure Our Kids to renovate the kitchen in the Parents' Retreat as well as purchase new sofa beds. Thank you Karl and thank you Sargents! |
