Action Coach Update...!Wednesday, 17th December 2008 
Cure Our Kids was again the proud recipient of a fabulous day’s fundraising at the recent ActionCOACH 90-Day Planning Day.Over $9500 was raised through a combination of activities.
Dynamic Coach and MC, Craig Brewster started the auction with a very unique item indeed - a $10 note (ie US66c). No wonder ActionCOACH can get businesses going when they can get $550 for a $10 bill! Thanks to Wendy & John Priestly for their kind support.
Next, Brad from Sanyo Australia very kindly donated a huge 106 cm Plasma television to auction. As the bidding increased, so too did the package with conference attendees adding their goods and services to the prize, increasing the value to around $6500 from $2000.
Peter Weatherley from Ambience Electrical was the winning bidder of the Prize, being for one-month’s free coaching from ActionCOACH, $1500 worth of portrait photography from Israel Smith Photographers and Framing of the photos to the value of $500 from In the Picture Framing.
Peter’s daughter had a kidney operation at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead so he is quite empathetic with what kids and their families go through.
It didn’t end there! A huge thank you toPeter Tallis for his $1400 donation, Andrew Evans from Polymer Innovation who donated $1000, Joy Godley from Wallcandy who donated $100 and Riviera Coaching $150!
Daizy & her partner Theo from GDR Distributors are also donating 10 % of all revenue made from new customers who sign up before Christmas so thanks to them for their support.
To all the conference attendees who bought hats, wrist-bands and t-shirts, our sincere thanks. So many of you didn’t ask for change and also added donations to your payments – very generous of you all.
Overall, it was a fabulous day; inspiring both for the businesses and from the incredible support displayed to Cure Our Kids. We appreciate that success in small business these days is a challenge and yet so many people still keep giving. Let’s hope Craig James from Commsec is correct and things will look up with the economy so all ActionCOACH clients have a prosperous 2009! |
