Family Group Gatherings a success yet againTuesday, 16th December 2008 
Cure Our Kids had their Family Gatherings for the Sydney and Central Coast areas between the 8th and 10th December 2008 where all oncology families from the last 10 years could attend.
These Family Gatherings are designed to encourage families to meet other oncology families in their local areas. They have the chance at these dinners to socialize with other oncology families and share stories about their child’s treatment and know that the person they are chatting to will have an understanding.
The West, Greater West & Inner West Family Gathering was held at Prosperos Italian Restaurant. The Blue Mountains & Penrith Family Gathering was held at the Osso Bar & Restaurant. The Central Coast Family Gathering was held at Upper Deck. The North & North West Family Gathering was held at Atlantis SeafoodRestaurant. All the Families who attended the Family Gatherings enjoyed fine food, wine and many of the families had a great time joining in the games Guessing what was in the Santa Stocking and Heads and Tails.
Many families exchanged emails and phone numbers at the end of the evening and even future playgroups were being planned for next year. |
