September 2007 saw the beginning of a generous relationship between Cure Our Kids and Be Challenged, a modern and innovative Team Building Company who believe that teamwork, communication, leadership and constructive feedback are the foundations of an effective team.
When staff members from Amgen chose to participate in their Community Challenge where they had to work as a team to build 4 mountain bikes from scratch, they were delighted to hand over the finished products to our very own Katrina Ortolan who then passed it onto 4 of the kids currently in treatment in the Oncology Unit at The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
Similarly in April 2008, staff from Hudson once again built 2 mountain bikes from scratch but this time presented them to Katie Fulwood and Charlotte Kral themselves. "Thanks for today, it was an eye opening experience" Sam Burton-Taylor, Be Challenged.
And lastly, 2 weeks ago, staff from Nestle underwent a team challenge around our very own Brookvale to see who could come up with the best marketing plan and sell the most muffins for Cure Our Kids. Apart from the rain, the day was a success with just under $800.00 being raised.
We are so proud to have the team from Be Challenged on board with us and please check out some of their great activities and events at http://www.bechallenged.com.au/
