The 12th of November marked a very special day for 6 very special families supported by Cure Our Kids.
Australian company Hostec, took part in a team building day run by Be Challenged at the Botanic Gardens in Sydney.
Staff completed the 'Community Challenge' which required teams to complete a series of teamwork tasks in order to earn parts of a bicycle which they then assembled.
This is not as easy as it may seem as Hostec were limited by rules that forced the teams to co-operate and work cohesively. At the end of the day when the bikes were completed and the teams believed they had finished the job, Cure Our Kids staff member Katrina Ortolan arrived at the Botanic Gardens along with 3 year old oncology patient Levi, 12 year old Julien and 7 year old Taylah!
Sadly, patients Rayan, Nathan and Lachlan were unable to attend the presentation but will also be accepting brand new mountain bikes courtesy of Hostec. Levi, Julien and Taylah spent the afternoon riding their new bikes!
