Jamie Simpson

Cure Our Kids would like to extend a hearty welcome to our new ambassador, the very valiant and community-spirited South Sydney Rabbitohs NRL player, Jamie Simpson. Having fought a long battle with cancer as a teenager, Jamie understands the importance of supporting families going through the ordeal and is passionate about helping Cure Our Kids.

It was August 2002 and Jamie was sixteen when he was diagnosed with Stage Three Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Jamie endured two years of gruelling treatment, which included a stem cell transplant and chemotherapy. He emerged from the fight triumphant in 2004, and has been in remission since.

A true blue Aussie battler, Jamie is a real inspiration for kids on the ward. His courage and determination, as well as his concern for the community which won him the South's Cares Award for his charity work, are truly admirable qualities. We're very proud to have Jamie as part of the Cure Our Kids family!
